I was just crusing Ed's site to see if he has updated his barrel list lately (he has not) and in browsing got to wondering about the listed "ejector" barrels. I am assuming (usually a my mistake) that these models have a spring loaded extractor to spit the case out when the frame is opened. If this is the way it really is, can all barrels be updated to eject or is there a difference in the machining in the barrel lug. I could see where this might have some benefits in a hunting mode . . .or if'n a guy wanted to go back to crawling around on his hands & knees at the range to find all of his brass. There is or was a service through Fox Ridge that will convert a barrel to ejector type.

I would think it wouldn't be to involved to do.

If it is anything like the ejector on my Handi-Rifle, I'll stick with the extractor myself. [Big Grin]

I had an ejector barrel on one of my contender barrels. If I remmber right it was a $50 option. In my option it was not worth $50. There was a time delay of about 5-10 seconds before ejection. It seem like forevery before the shell was kick out of the chamber. Hope the above will provide so help, Twyman
