Anyone remember the break open single shot pistol that utilized a single action grip and using T/C barrels? Had something to do with a Ram symbol or something? I was going to have the fella make me one utilizing the bisley grip, but lost touch with the guy and his gun? Any one remember, please e-mail me at dennis.madriaga@gmail.com Thanks!

Dennis, if such an action exists, I would love to have one as well. Please let me know at starivout@aol.com if you ever catch up with such!

Sean, if I can only remember the guys name. The good thing about it was it could handle standard T/C barrels, but he also made the frame that could handle .338 Win Mag type cartridges, because I was going to have one done in the chambering, and he said he had done a couple! Cost at the time was actually cheaper than even custom XP conversions. Just that funds was limited for me at the time.

Could it be SSK? http://www.sskindustries.com/rifle.htm They do a lot of custom work on T/C and Ruger #1s. Even if it wasn't, you may still want to consider SSK -- they have a solid reputation. ====================================== Cleachdadh mi fo m' féileadh dé tha an m' osan.

Ben, greetings! SSK does custom barrels, but does not actually manufacture an action. The guy we are looking for has actually in the past manufactured an action of his own that accepted TC Contender barrels and also accepted single action grip frames of some make [hopefully Ruger grip frames so I could use a Bisley, but that is probably too much to hope for!]

I got some info. The gun was called Riley's Ramrod. Someone is going to send me a copy of the article via snail mail.

This is the info I got from Taffin himself: Robert Riley 5702 E. Calle Silvosa Tucson AZ 85711 But even with all this info, I cannot even find his phone number?????? Anyone know how else we could get hold of the guy? Was told by a gunsmith I know, that he talked to him a few months ago, trying to sell his guns, but has no idea on how to reach him?

Dennis, sounds like a good lead at any rate. Let me know if the article reveals anything, or if your gunsmith friend can recall any further contact info.

Will do Sean. Actully sent snail mail, and we'll see if the address is still good. Article was from 1989, so hopefully the guy didn't move or at least got a phone number. I guess I'm so spoiled with internet, and want instant results. I remember when I use to write to a couple handgun hunters in Africa, and it sometimes took a couple months to get a response back by snail mail!!!

There is a phone number listed to a Robery Riley in Tucson, but at a different address. It could be the same one. Do a Google search. Nashcat
