I have just seen the darnest pistol in the local gunshop. It is a 303 based on a Martini Enfield action .. 5 inch barrel .. The Canadian government says the gun was 'manufactured' in Afghanistan .. ??? Also some clown stamped the intials GR many many many times all over the metal work ... Does anyone know of such a thing ??

Yep! Saw the lady gunsmith make one on "Lonesome Dove - The Outlaw Years"! I'm sure it has been done many times in the past. Hammerli used to build a very expensive .22 target pistol on a Martini action. Stryker60

Saw an article once on how to do the same thing with the Remington rolling block rifle.
