Working on a load for my 308. I believe I have found the combination. PMC brass, H4895 powder, Fed 210M primers and 150 gr Nosler Ballistic tips. Three (5 shot) groups, the largest with one flyer measured .630" and the other two were .510", measured center to center with calipers. All at 100 yds off of micro rest and sand bags. Burris 3x12 LER also. Powder volume was not maximum but within 1 grain of max. Next step is to check velocity. **one note, I did try H BLC-2 but the pressures were tremendous (from stuck cases to cratered primers) I do not know if it was a bad lot of powder but when you have to take a cleaning rod to knock the case out it was definatley to high.

TC, I would be interested to see what kind of velocities you're getting. I have a Savage Striker in a 308 and I average 2630 fps. Like you, I got excellent 5 shot groups.

Just one word of advice. Last year I shot an Antelope and a Mule Deer with the 150gr Ballistic Tips. Both lung/heart shots, both blew up. The Antelope was shot at 156 yds and the Buck at 120 yds (with a range finder). Both dropped in their tracks, but ruined alot of meat.

This year I'm going to the Barnes XLC in the 150grs. Used it two years ago with my 7mm IHSMA, with excellent results.
