I know the 120 grain Nosler BT is the bees Knees in the TCU, but what bullet are you using in the faster rounds (faster than TCU) like the 6.5 JDJ, 6.5 MD, and the 6.5X50 Bellm?
I am talking deer here, I guess pronghorns also.

The 120 grain BT is still the best for the calibers you mentioned, but with the added velocity these can produce, the 120 grain Speer Hot Core spitzer does quite well also. These 2 are the workhorses of 6.5mm hunting bullets in the single shot specialty pistols.

I know this is a handgun forum, but Ive taken the 120 BT's to 3,500 (6.5-300Wby) with very good accuracy and have taken several deer with it as well. My wife uses it in her .260Rem. too, so I suspect you will not have difficulty in the faster SS pistol calibers.

I called Sierra's Tech Line last night and asked them how their 6.5mm 120 gr Spitzer #1720 bullet would work at 2700 FPS. They told me that it would work great at that velocity. I'm loading it and the Nosler 120 BT in my 6.5 Mini-Dreadnought JDJ and the velocity is running 2690-2710 FPS. Probably go with the Sierra's since I have 2000 of them.
