300 SB:

I am lucky enough to live in the same town as Mike and know him. I was just curious and here was just an easy way to get a hold of him and ask him.

I know a 308 might be easier, but since I know Mike and really know he is quite a knowledgable guy, I thought it might be a little special to have something a little different, than a 308.

John Noveske also lives locally, and he had come up with the 458 Noveske which is a 300 Winchester Short Mag, necked to 458, and he puts it on a short action, with his preference being a Model 600 or 660 Remington. It is a really neat little package.

I really feel fortunate to have the honor of knowing both guys.
There work is excellent, and respected.

I was going to take Mike out ground squirrel shooting with me earlier this season, but health problems in his family prevented him being able to stray too far from home. Mike is one class guy, that is for sure.
