I just switched a couple scopes around and I just came back from the range. I have a Contender in 30-40KragAI and put a 2x Leupold on it. Boy things look small at 100yds. Only shot at 25yds to put it on paper, but man-o-man do things look small. I had a 2.5-8x on it, but put it on my .243 that I took a 10x Burris off. That was a good move for the xp-100 varmint gun. The gun is easier to handle now (actually both are), but am I under-scope now? Never shot a 2x at 100yds. I don't plan on any long range shooting with the 30-40KragAI, even 100yds seem really long!!! Anybody else shoot low power scopes at 100 yds? Thanks for any feedback Bill

PA, I have hunted quite a bit with one of my Ruger SRH's in 44 mag using the Burris 2x and I would agree that 100 yards looks like a long haul through that class. Longest shot I have taken on game with that revolver and scope was a whitetail doe at 85 yards over my knee leaning against an old cotton wood. Made a good double lung hit and she when down quick. I have done alot of paper punching with that revolver out to 150 yards and when the target is large enough to get a good hold on(at least 12" bull at 150 yards) that revolver will cut 4" groups at that range. Love the field of view on those scopes though. Good Shooting!!! 50
