I finalized the details of this indicator base Saturday and production will start this week with deliveries to begin about the first week of December.

The Bellm Headspace Indicator will let you quickly and accurately measure how much the case head either sticks out of the barrel or if it is below the end of the barrel.

Knowing your barrel to frame gap as measured with feeler guages, you can now very precisely measure headspace on both Contenders and Encores.

You simply hold the base on the end of the barrel, matching up the diameters of the base and the barrel so as to locate the offset indicator quill over the solid head of the case, missing both small and large primer pockets. It is double ended, with one end at .810" for Contenders and the opposite end at 1" for Encores. Just loosen the set screw and insert the indicator stem from the opposite end to go from Contender to Encore mode.

You can measure a number of other important dimensions also such as depth of rim counterbore, bullet seating depth relative to the throat, and one thing that you will find amazing is variations in headspace with factory ammo and new brass.

Your barrel IS the guage, and this dial indicator set up is the means we have all been needing for taking accurate measurements quickly and easily. It flat out works.
