I just picked up a 44mag BullBerry barrel that the dovetails fall out, they are so loose. [Frown] What is the best way to keep them from sliding, short of sending the barrel in? Any idea's would be great.
Thanks Tony

Lightly tap the edges of the dovetail slots back to where they hold the dovetail locks securely. Then check if you need to shorten your screws so they do not contact the barrel itself when tightening up the forearm. The screws will jack the slots loose again before you ever feel it. If you see round circles rubbed in the flats of the barrel under the dovetail locks your screws are the culprits.

A little bit of epoxy or retaining compound can also help cement them into place.

Mike and Jeff,
Thanks for the tips! I'll check the screw length, shorten if needed, then epoxy them in.
Thanks Tony
