Not too many moons ago XP's where everywhere at decent prices. Now I can't find the one I am looking for without mortaging the farm. I actually saw that first XP; the short one in .221 Fireball completely stock for $1000! Luckily I have a custom match XP and I am never selling it. But now, I want one to hunt with and all of a sudden everybody is proud of them. Remington needs to make a special run of these guns and thwart all of the scalpers out there.

Out here a clean XP100 in .221 Fireball can range from $350 to $500. Some nuts want up to
$700 but they don't move them very fast. I don't see why anybody would pay a premium for them in .221 Fireball. I've never thought of them as collector items.

At a gun show last weekend was a factory XP100 in 308 with about a 15" barrel. Had a decent scope with good rings and base. Bone stock, not altered. It was $450. Just some data for
you for comparison purposes.
