A 6.5-284 XP-100 that I have been impatiently waiting for is several weeks away. The stock is being sent today to H-S for it's paint job. Then after that back to Tannel for final finish. Looks like I will have time to break the barrel in and do load development and maybe even a dog shoot before the Bower Long-Range Clinic in July. I'm excited!

Mike,
The action has been ACCURIZED (cut receiver face; single point cut receiver threads; cut receiver lugs; cut bolt face; cut bolt lugs; lap lugs, and sleeved bolt body. Trigger job and a Titanium firing pin (Turn pin to .0620 and bush bolt to .0625)which helps with lock time. Epoxy Beding of my H-S Stock which includes epoxy pillars, epoxy bedding, pad cylinder on barrel and free float from pad forward. Double pinned recoil lug. External bolt stop/release which has been moved to the rear of the action to unload loaded rounds without removing bolt. Modified Vais Brake for 1,000 yard competition. 17 inch Varmint taper SS 1-9 twist Krieger barrel with a tight-neck chamber in 6.5-284. Scope is a Burris 3-12LER w/Ballistic Plex Reticule with Target Knobs. I will be using Burris Signature Rings. Throat is set-up around 142 SMK's, also considering other Match bullets as the Scenar and Clinch River. Dies are Redding's Competition Die Set. Have several of the Hogdon Extreme powders for use in load development since they remain consistent in their velocities with temperature changes. I'm sure I forgot something, but that is most of it.

Spoke with H-S Precision this past week. They will be shipping the stock back to Tannel on Monday or Tuesday. Now it is time to order some bullets (142 SMK's, Clinch River, & some Hornady).
Stock will be yellow with blck webbing but smooth on the bottom of the fore-end and the pistol grip.
I think I will have it ready for clinic time--I can't Wait!!!
