Are there any sites that show how to disassemble the TC Contender?
Thanks

The factory will send you an owner's manual free for the asking. Otherwise you might check with Mike Bellm to see what he can do for you http://www.bellmtcs.com/ Good hunting!

The free download from Bellms's for the trigger job will walk you step by step through it.

worriedman thanks. I did not see a download for the Thompson/Center Contender trigger job only for the Encore. I don't think they are the same.??
Do you know if one is available?

Here is a site for a Contender take down manual.
I have not seen one yet, but waiting for mine to come in.

The Encore and the Contender G2 are assembled exactly the same...albeit the G2 parts are smaller they assemble the same. Original Contenders are totally different...but beyond the trigger assembly (one pin, a screw and it drops out)the hammer/spring (one pin and it falls out) what would you need to take it farther part than that for ?

I got the manual in and it was helpful in the tear down and reassembly....
There is a caution on a spring and plunger that does need to be noted as mine did shoot out just like they said.

No doubt about it, taking apart a TC frame for the first time is an educational experience. I won't say how many years ago it's been, but the first time I tried (without a manual, I might add), I learned a number of new words when that spring took a high-velocity trip across the room! It took up residence in a carpet, and after nearly an hour of searching, I finally located the little devil...

Check out the Bellm tutorial. Worked great for me with my G2. Taking it apart was no problem. Reassembly required three hands and a bit of patience. Of course that was my first time. I'm sure that with practice, it gets easier.
