I am ready to mount a scope on my TC 45-70. I have a T'SOB 3 ring base installed and was wondering which brand of scope will stand up best to the recoil. I am leaning towards a Burris 2x, but am wide open to suggestions. Thanks, Tom

BURRIS SCOPES ARE EXCELLENT IN MY OPINION. I OWN 3, A 2X ON .44MAG REDHAWK, A 3-12 ON 6BR ENCORE, AND ANOTHER 3-12 ON 7MM-08 ENCORE. just my opinion, look at the 2x-7x burris it has a larger field of view than the 3-12. it's what i shoulda put on the 7-08. the 2x has the same field of view though if you decide against a variable.

I have always been a huge fan of Leupold pistol scopes. Recently i have tried several Burris pistol scopes, 1.5-4, 2x, 2-7, 2.5-7, 3x & a 10x. All have been excellent and i have yet to have a problem with them. I recommend either of these brands but do not recommend the BSA red dot for heavy recoiling guns, LOL!
