| I shot his prototype rifle (a Ruger #1) extensively for about a year. I also handled his first leveraction in that chambering before it was officially built. I've never met Gary but I know a good friend of his so I've handled alot of his stuff. I'm not interested in it myself but some are.

One of the guys at our range has one in a Marlin 1895. In fact I sold him a mess of .475" cast bullets for it, but I haven't seen him since then, so don't know how it shoots.
I think it would be a dandy for that 460 gr mold you ordered That round is one of the reasons I ordered that heavy mold, but I never got around to building the carbine. I've also debated doing a Ruger #1 in 480, I think I could get nearly 1500 fps with the 460 gr bullet. |

| One of the guys up here had Virgin Valley make him a 15" 470 NE for his encore. As I recall, he was getting 1800 fps with 500 gr bullets |
