If you are, lets get them orders in He'll be ordering the barrels next week and I have my order in. I think it's great to be one of the first to own one of these from our new custom barrel maker. No doubt in my mind, after talking with Mike for a couple hours yesterday that he knows his shit and will produce a super product. He tells me encore barrels are just around the corner and who knows what after that
Can't right now, but definately will try one! The little bit I've talked to Mike, he seems like a heck of a guy. For the first barrel, that's all I need to know!

PLUS... It looks like Mike will use take-offs ($175 using your barrel???). I like that idea. Now if I can just find a cheap ($30 or less), like new .17 rem. :-)

If his barrels are as good as his Crib and Craddle system, they should be well worth the money. Does anyone know how much he plans to charge for an off the shelf barrel.
In my opinion they will only get better from here as everything is fine tuned and put into production.
I have a few calibers on the list that will have the On Target Tech. Stamp on them. Just ain't sure where to start 17 hornet or 38/40 or a 38-55 carbine or.....???

Jules, Are you saying that us "Conterholics" will soon have yet another source from which to get a "fix?" Sounds interesting.... I looked at the website, but didn't see specific info about the barrels. For example, does anyone have info about: price, availability, finish(es), shop time, etc? Thanks, Gary T.

I have some 30" cut rifled blanks I made some years back. How much of one do you want? Or all of one, if you like. Most are stainless. Not positive about any in chrome moly. These are as rifled, not lapped, extras from barrels I made for Texas Longhorn Arms.

Glad to see Mike up and running with barrels. We have exchanged quite a few emails about it, and he is pretty savvy. Should be outstanding barrels.
One fellow told me today that Encore barrels are really scant. He said the distributors hardly have a thing in factory Encore rifle barrels. How chronic is this?
Looks like the time is ripe for more barrel makers.
I'm picking up another Contender barrel fixture tomorrow, and will check it out in a few weeks, hopefully. A next step is to offer this fixture for sale to others wanting to make barrels after I have worked with it awhile. Fixtures are not cheap, but are worth their weight in gold when they do their job right.
The first Encore fixture is coming, also.
If a few more of you would take an interest in making barrels, we could make some very significant changes in the after market barrel situation.

Gary, He don't have anything on his site yet but he'll make whatever you want as long as it's safe for the contender. I have a contact that has barrel blanks for $50. and am told there as good as any. If you or anyone else wants the list, send me an email and i'll send it to you. I haven't tried any of these barrels yet. But plan to.
Anyone looking for a barrel blank could also Contact Mike Bellm and see what he has as far as barrel blanks that he made. I'm sure he'll let you have one for a fair price.
Thanks for the compliments and interest. I will update the website at some point in the future to reflect more of what is planned. Anyone can feel free to email me any questions and I will answer them as promptly as possible. My big project that some know about will finally ship late next week and then I will focus on the orders that have come in. I know this doesn't answer a lot of specific questions but feel free to call also, I'm in and out , 603-750-3232.
Thanks again,

Gents, I have a 45 Colt Carbine barrel that Mike made for me. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet (he has) but the chambering work and the hinge block are first rate. I have a few thumpers loaded up looking for a place to go bang (and some warmer weather). Might just get a chance this weekend. More later.
