After a long phone conversation and an apology from him regarding the way the GBO fiasco was handled, I am satisfied that his intentions are in the right place.

I can understand the frustration he underwent when he had said he would not let his father do what he was doing with the forum in the way he handled our disagreement, but then, rightfully so,
his father is the owner of the site and can do what he wants. Bill over ruled the statements Matt made to me in a private email at the time, and Matt did apologize for not responding to me.

Since Leonard Bellm and his son did not see eye to eye either, I can relate to Matt's situation. We can choose our friends and forums, but not our relatives.

Some of us learn inspite of our fathers. Others are blessed to learn from them. Matt has a different view of how a forum should be, and I think he will prove his metal in this regard.

Let's see what happens.

"OpenedEyes," "DifferentViewpoint," or how about SOB, Son of Bill? Somehow, OpenedEyes doesn't have much of a ring to it.

Got to agree with you Mike,

I experienced some of GB's heavy handed tactics a few times while on GBO and am still a bit sore from them but never had anything but professional courtesy from Matt.

Let's give him a chance.
