I JUST PICKED UP A COPY OF GUN DIGESTS 1968 22ND ANNIVERSARY ISSUE AND IT WAS PREMIERING THE CONTENDER.IT IS REAL INTRESTING READING.WHAT I WAS AMAZED AT WAS WARREN CENTER HAD BEEN WORKING ON DESIGN AND PROTOTYPES FOR 15 YEARS WHICH MEANS HE STARTED COOKING THE CONTENDER COLLECTING DISEASE AROUND 1952.IF ANYONE IS INTRESTED ILL GET MY DAUGHTER TO SCAN THE ARTICLE AND POST IT IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO READ IT.

I would like a copy also. I have a 1971 (I believe) Shooting Times special feature article on the Contender by Layne Simpson with some of his load data, etc. If I can get it scanned, I would be willing to pass it around as well.

STILL HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GET IT SCANNED YET. I HAVE SOME PHOTO COPIES OF THE ARTICLE IF SOMEONE ELSE COULD SCAN THEM AND POST IT. I COULD FAX OR MAIL THEM TO WHO EVER WOULD WANT TO HANDLE PUTTING IT UP FOR EVERYBODY TO SEE. I NOTICED ON EBAY YESTERDAY THAT THERE WERE 3 MORE GUN DIGEST ANNUALS FOR SALE WITH THE ARTICLE IF ANYONE ELSE COLLECTS THAT SORT OF STUFF.JUST ENTER "GUN DIGEST 1968" FOR THE SEARCH.LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE WANTS ME TO FAX IT FOR THEM TO POST OR ILL WAIT UNTIL I CAN GET IT SCANNED.
