I stop in from time to time. There doesn't seem to be much traffic there.

Contender85-
yes, it shows up with the link you provided. But if you simply use the web address of single-shot-forums.com, it no longer comes up.

The site is working OK, as everyone says not a lot of action. But thats not Matt's fault, he has given us all a good spot to use but it looks lke most don't care too. Oh well everyones loss if it goes down (Hate to see it.) I Knew he was fighting a uphill battle from the being, but one must try. I Like both site and will use both as long as I am able. I just feel that some of us aren't giving other sites a fair shake?? [Confused]

It's not that i'm not givin Matt's site a chance. But if i'm going to post the same thing there as I am here and the same folks are at both places, It would be like posting twice for the same people to read. Are there folks on there that don't stop here?
The live chat would be ok....but i'm too darn slow at typing to keep up. [Smile]

A Fair Shake?
I like Bench shooting and hunting in that order.
I will NOT give cowboy action shooting a chance...Does not interest me.
I like the Accurate reloading forum....While I have visited Matts site a few times I really have found no reason to Frequent another site as I do not have that much time on my hands. I did not see any new and improved IMFORMATION infact more of a rehash and borrowing of information from this group.
Funny as soon as I became a member of Matts site Ole graybead started Deleting All of my posts at the pond.
At anyrate I see no reason break up my time between here and Matts site most of the time and I see Most feel the same. [Roll Eyes]

I hit the chat when I can. Enjoy chewing the fat w/ the guys. Like someone else said, I check every day or two for new topics, but not much there. I've got enough things going on that I actually like it if I only have one place to go. I know variety is the spice of life, but I'm getting old and would rather have one comfortable pair of hunting boots than several new pairs.

Signed,

It's like a group of guys meeting on a street corner to chew the fat and someone saying "OK, now lets move across the street and continue talking"

It's tough to get a new forum sight going due to the limited number of participants to go around.

I admire Matt for starting what is a very nice forum sight but it's really just a traffic issue more than anything else and nothing personal from what I see. One can visit only so many forums in a day or the time alotted and AR is a relatively huge site by itself.

Regards

I gave it a shot, but there just does not seem to be that much interest.

My favorite part was the rimfire forum, as I love all things rimfire, but again, just a lack of interest. Handgun hunters and shooters are a smaller portion of the shooting community, single-shot shooters smaller still, and single-shot long range rimfire shooters....well....there just do not appear to be enough rimfire varmint/target shooters in any one place to keep a good forum going [Razz]

Well, I have to say that part of the blame must lay on me, as I am trying to get my new chain of stores open and i just do not have the time to spend on SSF that I need to , hell for that matter GBO or any of the sites that I maintain, If any of you have ever tried to get a new business off the ground you know what I mean, you need 48 hours in a day just to do the things you have to and another 12 to 24 for the things you want to do. SSF will not go away as I said back when I started it, it is on my company servers and thus it costs nothing to be there. I do not know what has happened to the domain name Single-Shot-Forums but thanks for calling it to my attention, I will get it fixed as soon as I can. But a big thanks to all those that use the chat, lots of fun and I really enjoy talking to you guys it is truely an honor and privilage. well just wanted to pop in and say hi to you all and let you I am still here, just busy.... again thanks to all that participate on SSF and make it what you want and use it as you like.....

Matt
