To level a scope on a Contender, break a cheap level and remove the bubble cylinder. Put the Contender on sandbags and place the level on the rear of the frame (flat spot there).Move the pistol till the bubble is level. Next hang a plumb bob from the ceiling across the room. Mount your scope. Align the vertical crosshair to superimpose both of them. Should be very close to dead nuts on.
