Gents, Found out what the cause was to all of this....And thanks to Don Shearer and forearmed for pointing me to the right direction! What the cause was that erosion around the firing pin hole, from some old indescretions with pierced primers caused the erosion and that is what the cause was. I am going to send the frame back to have it fixed unless someone knows where I can get one of the breech face blocks so I can do it myself. I'd like to as when you send them back to TC, they always monkey with the trigger. thanks and regards, graycg

GrayCG, I'm sure you can get a new breech plug from TC just with a telephone call and tell then to invoice you when they send it. Then it is certainly no big deal to put it in yourself if you are at all handy with a screw driver. Just describe the part as "that round plug that holds the firing pins in the breech". The reason I urge you to do it yourself is just what you mentioned. They will take the after-market springs out of your trigger and restore it to its original shitty condition. I would only send one of my Contenders back as a very last resort and when I do I would put the factory springs back in it before I send it. That way it can be re-restored to a shootable condition when it comes back. Don Shearer
