I was wondering what the approximate cost on a Contender Stainless frame (not G2) would be. The reason I am asking is because there is a stainless Contender available locally for $450. This has a 10" 44 mag. barrel (not ported), and Burris scope (I don't know for sure what power). I would sell the barrel and scope, but I might be better off just looking for a frame only.

If you could get 100$ for the scope (depending on condition or power maybe higher) and 125-150$ on the bbl then you'd have about 200$ invested in the frame. That sounds like a decent deal to me.

Stainless frames go for about $25-$50 more than blued. Ed sold his last one I think, but check with him. His usually go for $225. James Lewis still had some last time I talked to him. Both guys have web sites that have links to e-mail and phone numbers. Done business with both and they are quality individuals.
