Reloading .375 JDJ

I know this is a reloading question, but I thought it might get more attention here. So what is everyone shooting in there .375 JDJ barrels these days. I have read a lot about 52grains of AA2520 behind a 270gr. Hornady.

I have just done a little testing and it seems to be that Reloader 15 easily beats the 2520 in velocity and I recently heard some folks using Varget and I would imagine the same story applies there.

I am also thinking that the new Accubond from Nosler would take performance to another level. Much flatter trajectory, and more reliable expansion.

Just wanted to see what others were thinking these days!

How much RL15 are you using behind the 270 Hornady, and how does it compare to AA2520?

I have been using the 220 Hornady Flat Point only in my .375JDJ so far. I just bought some Hornady 270grn bullets and some Varget. The loads I got from a few guys that have been shooting their .375JDJ for some time are:

52.0 grn of Varget w/270grn Hornady SP. This is hitting 2000fps from his 14" SSK barrel, not a rechamber.
He also uses the same load as you describe in the AA2520 and is getting 2060fps from his barrel.

I'm going to start at 50 grn of Varget and work up to see how accuracy/velocity changes.
I have thought the same about the Nosler Accubond since they don't make the Ballistic Tip in the 260grn anymore.
That Accubond might just be the ticket.
I'm taking my .375JDJ out for this last two days of antlerless season to see what happens. I've got it zero'd at 100 and shot it at 150 which it hits 4" low there.

I have done some work with both the BT and the Hornady. Velocity seems to run between 50-100 fps faster for reloader 15 when both are at 52 grains.

I don't have the exact velocities in front of me right now, but I can get them for you at the beginning of the week.

I believe velocities were 2250, 2300, and 2350 for H4895, AA2520 and R15 with the 270. H4895 stopping out at 48 and the other two at 52. None of these loads showed excess pressure. My barrel is a 20" carbine barrel. I can get exact loads for you later if you are interested.

I recently read somewhere that you can take Varget up to about 53 grains, but I haven't seen any other data to support this yet.

I've been using 49.5 grs of H322 using CCI 350mag primers and Speer 235 grain spitzers.

Chronographed velocities are 2200fps, primers don't flatten, if that really means anything, but accuracy is pretty good with 1-1/2 inch groups at 100yds.
