I would appreciate some input/opinions on rate of twist for this project. The longest bullet I intend to shoot is the 90 grain Scenar. Based on my limited research I'm leaning towards the 1:10. Dont intend to do anything fancy...varmints and paper at reasonable ranges. Going to spec chamber on lapua brass dimensions. I'm greatful for any advice offered. Dave: You can go as slow as a 1:12 twist. It should handle bullets up to and including 90 grains. When Remington originally came out with the .244 Remington its twist was 1:12. It handled 90 grain bullets but not the 100 grainers. They later changed the twist to 1:9, and also changed the name of the round to 6mm Remington. Outback | |||
