Mike, I know you like 12" barrels. I have asked this question earlier, but got a lot of 15" replys. I live in Arizona and a big deer would be 100 lbs. Javalina 40 lbs, coyote 25 lbs. What caliber, either Encore or Contender, I have both, in 12", 200 yard max range for the above critters?
Thanks

sounds perfect for a 6mmbr encore, or 6tcu and 6mm/.223 contender. i shoot sierra 80gr sspb in my 13" encore.

With 200 yards in the equation, I'd vote with KYODE on a 6mm based on a .375" diameter chamber, be it 6mmx.223, 6mm TCU, or 6mmx47 Imp. Pretty hard to beat.
