Found a 12" 44mag was thinking of rechambering it to a .444.But I don't like muzzel brakes do you guys think it would be too much recoil to handle.

I picked up a 14" 44 Mag Hunter barrel a few months ago with the thought that it may be one to rechamber into 444. I wanted the brake on it if it is going to be a 444 but look forward to hearing what others have done.

I have a S14 444 Marlin(44 mag rechamber) and the recoil is pronounced. If you're near or visiting the Portland area, let me know and I'll let you give it a try.
