I've got a .300 Winchester barrel for my Encore that I'm thinking of having cut down to 15" for use as a pistol.

Has anyone tried that? I'm anticipating severe muzzle blast, but I'm not sure what velocities I might be able to get.

Any comments or insights are welcome.

try cuttin her down to 16.5" and use with a rifle forearm, but shoot as a pistol. TCnut has one and likes it, i think.
