I recently bought a 14 inch SS 35 remington w/ muzzle tamer. I'm getting ready to send it to SSK for a T'SOB and cut off the M/T and recrown. What i'm needing to know from you fellas is how harsh is the kick without a brake. I've never shot one without and i'm hearing from some of my buddies that they can be quite rude, and others say it's not bad at all. I shoot my 454 w/o a brake just fine. Just needing a few opinions or even a example of what it compares to. Thanks, John

If you can handle the 454 then the 35 won't be any problem. My 35 feels like it recoils less than my 44 Mag barrel and that is with 200 grrn vs 240 grswc respectively. You might have to try different powders to see which one keeps down muzzle blast in the shorter barrel.

I agree with Steve my 35 Rem is in a Lone Eagle and recoil is actually quite mild much less than my 7mm08 in the same gun. Clam

I don't have brake on my Lone Eagle and it recoils pretty good.....nothing you can't handle if your ready for it.

That's with 200 grainers........
