SSK or VVCG or DVH or Bullberry or Bellm or any other custom shop will do work on a TC barrel, but TC won't even touch any other then there's. I asked TC to install there brake on a TC factory barrel that had been rechambered by SSK. They told me to suck wind and die....Well, not quite those words, but it had the same meaning. [Razz]

Here we go again. Why don't you ask Remington, Winchester, Savage, Browning ETC to do work on one of their products after someone has rechambered or changed it. Please find something good to say about someone or something. That would be a change.

WHAT!!!!! [Big Grin] What's wrong with that question?
What does a muzzle brake have to do with the chamber?

This brought to mind a picture I remember from my younger days. A revolver with the barrel sitting on top pointing back toward the shooter. Maybe on a TC that would make the chamber a combo chamber/brake? I think we might have something here...

This is just a case of "modifying" a factory product which TC would not want to work on anymore as they don't consider it one of "theirs" anymore as far as liability OR company policy. They don't want to be the last one to touch it in the chain of work and therefore be responsible for it. They have no control over the quality of the other work performed on it.

As far as a 3rd party barrel, it may be a case of not working on other vendor's barrels as a matter of liability OR company policy also.

Next time, have the brake installed first. [Big Grin]

Regards

I understand now. And most likely they didn't have a loaded JDJ round to test fire it either.

Tommy, My post above was to 1Buba. The quote I posted was to you. And didn't you write this the other day? [Smile]

I have watched this thread with interest and have learned a lot. I don't want to buy anything from JD and I don't believe anything Jules posts. I see how Jules has 681 posts. Not a flame just fact.

I'm not mad at you or anyone. I in my own way was wrong in pointing out that most of the threads I have read started by you are negative in the fact that someone has hurt your feelings or didn't do what you wanted. I appolige (spellng lessions wouldn't hurt) for that. We are a small group that love contenders. I have completely worked over remington 700 in 223AI that I haven't shot in a year because the contenders are more fun. We are lucky that we have the vendors we do for custom barrels and acc. My daddy told me if I couldn't say anything good about someone then keep my mouth shut (right after he boxed my ear) I'm sorry Tommy
