I love mine. 10" factory barrel from Ed's. If you can hold it on the bags will do 1/2" at 25yd with open sights. Tried scope and dots but like opens better; handier. Holy terror on jackrabbits. Not real hard on the ears like a lot of T/C barrels. Factory W-W 86gr clocks 1386fps out of that 10" barrel, same as my Marlin 94CL. Haven't tried handloads yet(still working my way thru 400 factory I $tole). Already have my cast bullets and a can of Blue Dot ready. You'll love yours.

Blackhawk44, what cast bullet do you plan to use in you 25-20 Contender? I wasn't lucky enough to get one from Ed so I finally got one from Fox Ridge. I plan to use it for IHMSA field pistol, both iron sights and any sight categories. So far I have only sighted it in for load development, used an 86gr Rem and 7.0 gr of Blue Dot. It will shoot under an inch at 60 yards using a Leupold M8 12X so I'm hoping for sub-MOA after some expirementing. I just got a Lyman 257464 mold off ebay and will start load development soon with that bullet. I plan to get an EABCO full rib with the taco hood for the iron sight category and use the M8 12X mounted on the rib with Weaver see-thru rings for the any sight cat.
