Shot the 45-70 today. The 15 gr unique loads were pussy cats. Had 5 rounds that were a little more "manly". They let me know this was not a rim fire. Still no problem. The high power loads put 3 into 1" at 50 yards. Wind was too strong and tooooo cold to do much at 100 yards. The inside of the barrel has a mirror finish. After 15 rounds of cast bullets 3 patches and it was shiney again. I alwas liked high gloss blue but after seeing this flat black I am converted. Be glad you did not buy it. think of all of the money it would have cost to keep it well fed. Rich

That's cool Rich. Mike had offered that barrel to me a good while back. No doubt it would be a shooter, but already having a 444 done by Mike, I really didn't want another big bore....Wait!!!! Did I say that?? Anyway, glad you like it. Keep us posted.
