I'm looking for input (again) from those of you who own Van Horn barrels. Do they seem to be well made? And also are they accurate?

I appreciate any information that you can give me as I'm mulling over the possibility of buying a new barrel and wanted to investigate this option.

I only have one for contender. I only had it to the range once and it shot very well [358x444 caliber] I think his barrels are as good as anyone's out there. His prices can't be beat for what you get. I'll be gettin another from him soon. Maybe an Encore this time.

I have a Van Horn 1:9 15" 7 TCU for the Contender, and it is amazingly accurate. Workmanship is second to none as well. I just sent in an order to Van Horn for a full bull 27" 6.5x55 for the Encore, and I'll post shooting results once it gets here. Decided to try one of his forends on this as well (finished price of $56 or 57 is almost impossible to beat).

I have a 10" .256 Super mag from Van horn and workmanship is excellant. Very tight fit on the hinge pin. I have Bullberry Barrels, VV barrels, have had Reeder and SSK barrels as well as TC custom shop barrels and Van Horns work is equal or better than all of the above. Plus he delivers in several weeks, usually.
