Hi folks. Is anyone here framiliar with a single shot Siamese pistol. I saw what I think may be one yesterday. It was a standard tip-up type barrel of about 12" in length, fixed sights, blue finish, and chambered in a bottle-necked, rimmed rifle cal. of some sort (8X52R??). I have seen a lot of guns in my time, but this one is a first for me, and noone seems to know anything about it. Thanks! Steve

Sean, What's the "VHA"? Hope it's not "Vehicle Hunters of America"

Sean, I have this odd critter in front of me now.The bbl. is 10 1/2 in., typical tip up type, with extractor, spurr hammer, flat-sided receiver with safety lever on left side, receiver unmarked except for a serial number on the bottom of the grip.Bbl is unmarked except for what appears to be the Siamese crest (looks similar to crests on Siamese mausers) and 2 (Siamese?) letters foreward of the crest on the right side of the chamber area of the bbl. Bbl release is a button on the under side of the receiver, directly below the chamber. We collectively have about 100 years of experience in the gun business, and nobody has ever seen one of these before. Kinda an interesting piece. Thanks again. Steve

quote:Headstamp LOL no, it stands for "Varmint Hunters Association," a club/publication I recently joined as an alternative to my HHI membership. No disrespect to HHI, but rather instead my interests more and more lay heavily in the direction of smaller calibers and medium to long range Varmint hunting, not big bores and African/Canned Trophy hunting, so I am letting my HHI membership run out this year. Just a difference of preferences and an identity re-alignment Steve, whereabouts are you located in VA? We are near Brookneal, and I occasionally return to Lynchburg to work for Jim Petrey at Ace Hardware & guns, where I got my start in the gun business back in 1995 [been an avid hunter-shooter for much longer ] As far as the Siamese pistol, WOW I must surrender to having NO knowledge whatsoever of this firearm as well. Nothing in my reference books either. An intriguing mystery!

Sean, I'm in Northern Va., Alexandria to be exact. If you ever happen to be in town, stop in and see us at Potomac Arms. Thanks for your efforts. All of mine have been to no avail as well. Steve
