Okay group need some help,I'm going to get a 416JDJ 21" carbine bbl,and the gentleman says that he has shot loose the super 16" forearm,the way he has it set up weight is around 6lbs.Need to increase weight a little ,what or who's stocks would you go with ,like the look of thumb holes but open to suggestions.HE says recoil is fierce

I have a 416 JDJ in a 14 inch Contender barrel and had to go to a bigger screw to hold the Pachmayer forend on. You could use a layer of supervisor tape between the forend and the barrel and that should hold it but it makes it mean to get the forend off. Better yet why not ask JD? He could help you I am sure. Recoil is right up there as mine does not have a brake but recoil is between the ears mostly. Mental control is the name of the game pure and simple.
