Here's action photos (I hope) of the results of high-level collaboration between the guys at VVCG and Mike Bellm. http://www.1cox.com/tc/dumais.htm

Many thanx to Steve for posting the pix!

GOOOOD Lookin' rig, Mark.
Too pretty to take to the swamp!
Pretty comfortable to shoot off the bench?

Good luck with your hunt!
Thanks for the opportunity to have a hand in this project.

Looks awesome!....how does it shoot? What brand of base is that?
I'm looking to do a similar project with a factory 24" .308 that the chamber is cut slightly too deep on. Considering a .30-338 or .30-06AI any suggestions.
Nice arm Mark.

Dave -

I haven't shot it a lot yet, but the 1st two 3 shot groups at 100 yds were right around 11/16 of an inch with hunting ammo. I expect it'll do better if I ever get time to work up proper target loads.

The base is VVCG's 6 screw base in matte steel. I like 'em too. They get something like $32 for 'em.

There's a lot to be said for a plain vanilla .30-06 and the AI version should be even better. This barrel is 21.5" and balances just forward of the trigger guard.

Steve graciously posted a target photo on his site - same link as at the top. I can't figure out how to get a picture to show up in a post for the life of me.

Anyway, thanks again Steve!
