I am a shooter of the 30/223. I shoot a VV custom barrel 14" in my T/C, SS. I have developed loads from 10 different powders so far. I am easily and safely exceeding 30 Herrett and 30-30 Win velocities. I have chronographed my loads, and have compiled a spreadsheet on my data.

I use the 223 necked up to 308 caliber. No fancy shoulders, etc. Mine are simply necked up to 30 caliber. I also shoot the 300 Whisper, and this one is much, much powerful. It's not fussy about what you feed it, shoots great. I am now picking my best loads for furthur development. I didn't have any data to go on, so had to tread easy and carefully. I love this cartridge. I currently use my 300 Whisper dies for reloading. Hope this helps.
