Bought a used 22 Hornet barrel, no visible screws like my .223 on the front sight, is it removable?

I never bothered to remove the front sight on anything that I put a scope on. The scope just looks right over is even with the low Leupold rings that I have on my 22 Long Rifle Contender barrel. Besides it would just leave a couple of unsightly empty holes. [Big Grin] Slim

It is most likely soldiered on. Most of the early barrels were. You might also check and see if the locking lug is split or solid. If it is solid and you put it on a new style easy open frame it will probably lock up and not want to open with out tearing the gun apart and dropping out the trigger assembly. No big deal just a pain in the rear if you already did.

Forgot to mention, if the lugs are solid just give TC a holler and the should give you a set of split lugs. Just have to knock out a roll pin and swap the lugs, spring isn't a bad idea if they give you one while you have it apart.
