Thought I would mention this here instead of the SS Rifle forum. I thought you guys would be more interested.

In the January 2003 issue of Shooting Times a new G2 rifle was announced by T/C. According to T/C it will have a 23" barrel and be available in .223, .30-30, and .45-70 as well as a new .45 muzzleloader. It's a nice looking gun as well.

I guess we'll see what comes of this and when it might be here.

I believe that the frame in that pick is a clay model like the automotive manufactures use for the "concept" vehicles.....

Yeah, You're probably right, but can they keep announcing new products without ever producing anything?

The part that I liked was when they also mentioned that T/C is going to produce Encore barrels in 375H&H Magnum!...

Geez, they are even selling a G2 Encore. I didn't even know it was planned. I suspect that was a misprint.

According to the TC website, the G2 is not even being produced yet. They will not be ready to ship until this Fall.

I just found that link this morning looking for some other info, and thought I'd pass it along, because I had also heard that they would not be available for some time. The "G2 Encore" is most likely a mistake, I've never heard of such a beast.

Anybody want to order one and see what they have to say?...

I would, but I'm into Encores, not Contenders....

i was at t.c. the other day and they said the G2 production will start this spring.
