Reamer Rentals is here in Grants Pass, OR, and I know the owner. I would be glad to check out the reamer dimensions and report back. One comment, though. All of her reamers have the throat section on the reamer, and I have found much better results by throating separately. She has sounded like she was open to stocking reamers without throat sections on them, and of course offers separate throat reamers. The reamers are all SAAMI and run somewhat large on dimensions. It would be quite possible for me to put together what I feel are optimum dimensions for both, have her stock them, and thus make them available to all. Standard SAAMI dimensions, in my opinion, "stinketh" if you want best accuracy. Also, when you rechamber your barrel, DO be sure to dial in off the bore, ie, across the tops of the rifling, and lathe bore the runout from the TCU chamber. The factory chambers very commonly have .010 to .020" runout compared to the bore they are supposed to be lined up with. I may not get back here unless hailed down to do so. If you folks would like to see 7-30 Waters reamers available for rent with custom dimensions and no throat section on them, let me know. I would be glad to set it up with Shawnie, and feel she would be glad to accommodate this special interest. email me at: mike@bellmtcs.com Mike Bellm

I also agree that the 7mmTCU is way more efficient in a 10" barrel but if you know or have read much from Larry aka SDHandgunner you will know that a Contender 10" 7-30 Waters can be a compact and very effective hunting rig. If you're having your barrel chambered or re-chambered by Mike Sirois of OTT Technologies don't worry about a reamer. He doesn't use them. He also can throat it any way you want. $bob$
