First I must give proper credit to Sean Coombes for my newest barrel. It's creation was a direct result of his quest for a .22 short match barrel. I liked the idea so much that I started salivating at the thought of having one all to myself. So props to you Sean as it appears that I now have my barrel before you!

Thanks to VV Dave all all the other VV Boys around, I have a nice new 11" VV matte blued .22 short match barrel. I've managed to obtain a few different type of .22 short match ammo. (Not an easy task if you really start looking around for short ammo.) Also I've got a few flavors of high velocity stuff for testing purposes. Hopefully it will not be too many more weeks before I'm about to shoot for groups.

I'll post the results if any of you are interested, otherwise I'll just share my info with Sean and we can compare notes. However, I thought there might be a few people out here interested in something that isn't a "mega-magnum". I'll be posting a picture of the gun once I receive my forend from Virgin Valley...hint hint Dave (are you listening?)

Bret, i for one would be interested in the results obtain from this barrel. Please keep us posted on its results.....

I am also kinda curious bout Sean's Rem that he had rebarreled......

Rimfire shooters get into measuring rim thicknesses, and my new Headspace Indicator & Base will do double duty for that function as well.

Just "0" it, then drop your rimfire rounds in the chamber and take a direct reading with the indicator. Instant rimfire guage as measured from the actual seat in your barrel rather than from a guage that may or may not have the same contact point on the rim as your barrel does.
