Finally, I'm going out right now, this minute and put some of these loads over a chronograph! I have 6 different loads with Hornady's 130gr. ssp Bullets.
I'll report back later today with results.

Ok, Here goes with the report. I was testing mainly for velocity and not so much accuracy. My target was at 75 yards.
First load -- 47gr. Win 760, Horn. 130 SSP. .005 off the rifling. Avg. Vel was 2249, Group was 1.5in.
Second Load -- 47.5 gr. Win 760, Horn. 130gr. SSP
.005 off the rifling. Avg. Vel. 2284 Group was a little better then first load.
Third Load -- 49 gr. Win 760, Horn. 130gr. SSP .005 off the rifling. Avg. Vel. 2378 Group was about .75in.
Fourth and last load -- 49.5gr. Win 760, Horn.130gr.SSP .005 off the rifling. Avg. Vel. 2429. Group about the same as last load, .75

All loads were fired in 5 shoot groups.

The last load I noticed some flattening of the primers, not much but some.

I guess 49.5grs. is about it for my barrel, I had some loads all the way up to 51grs but don't think I'll try them.

I think I'll play with seating depth and back off a little on the powder.

I'm going to do that now and hopefully fire a few more groups before the day is over!!

Sounds Good Bob. Good luck With the 308 Bellm. I like the round very Much. I have a quick question for you. Is that a Custom barrel, or a rechamber? If it is a rechamber was it a super 14 or A hunter barrel?

Guys, The more I shoot this Barrel the more I really like it [Big Grin]
Rich, It is a rechamber Super 14. I had it Fire lapped and a new Crown. It's a 1:14 twist. I really like it!! I think I already mentioned that though.
I did get some more loaded and moved the bullet out some. I did 5 at .003 of the rifling and 5 at .002 off. both loads were 49.5grs. Win 760. I'm not sure what happened but the groups opened up a little. I guess maybe I need to move the Bullet the other direction off the rifling? Maybe 6, 8 or 10 thousandths off the rifling? Or maybe just leave it alone? Naw!!!

You might of had it in the right spot in the first place. If you really want to try it just to see, seat it in a little more than your original just don't do it on your top weight load. See if it produces any improvement & if it is safe to go to the higher weight powder charges. I think that the 3/4 " group at 100 mark is excellent.

Wes, I think I'll keep it. I'd sure hate to have someone else put up with it! [Razz] Besides, I'm kinda getting used to it, and the Weaver Scope.
