Finally scored on a doe (actually a button buck) today with the new Encore.. Encore is chambered in 7mm08 with a 15" tube.. He was about 110 yds standing slightly quatering away from me.. There was nothing to rest on where I was standing so I had to go off hand and hit him about 6 inches behind the right shoulder and it exited directly behind the left shoulder leaveing a good quarter size exit hole he droped on the spot to say the least!! Load was 41.5 grains of Varget behind a 139gr Hornady Spire Point @ 2520fps..

Thanks all.. I have shot plenty of deer before but this had to be the most fun.. Now that I finally broke down and bought a Encore this summer then took a deer with it this year I dont think my rifles will get out of the safe much anymore.. Can you say i'm hooked!!!
