My advice would be don't buy. The 30 Herrett while OK is an obscure cartridge. You'll probably end up making cases yourself unless you wish to buy Quality Cartridge brass. From a 23 inch barrel, the 30/30 would be a better performer without the bother and I've bought and/or seen NEW 30/30 Contender barrels for in the $150 to $175 range. | |||

Eabco sells brass quite reasonably. There's no need to form and go through all the trimming, and for those who have been at it a while, the Herrett is anything but an obscure cartridge.
