Yes, I was at the shoot.......I was there with the Tromix guys......I plan to go again next year.....be sure to contact me and I'll get you on the line to play with a few toys! Have you seen the 2003 shoot video? I am in the video several times.......it opens with some footage of me firing an HK53...... Tell you what.....I've been known to kill stuff with long guns.....if I got a chance to hunt Montana..... it wouldn't matter if I had to use a rifle!

I hadn't seen you post in a while and just wondered if you were still in Ok. The last time I talked with you, your wife was looking at possibly having to relocate to Houston (I believe).

Glad to see you are still around. For the time being the Montana property is tied up. My stepgrandparents got it just after they immigrated here from Ireland. They lived on it just long enough to get title to the property (homesteaded I guess) and then moved back to Conn. Before they moved back they signed a long term lease with a family for the rights to use the land as they saw fit. According to the lease the people that lease the land have the final say on who gets access to the land. The lease has long since expired and is on more or less a month to month basis. My mom is talking with her lawyer about she should proceed (knowing lawyers this could be a long drawn out ordeal). I have heard that the property (900 acres about 2 miles from the Canadian border) sets in the middle of deer hunter Heaven. I'll let you know what i find out. The main problem with Montana deer hunting is that if you want to use a pistol, the round has to be a straight walled round originally chambered for a pistol and not a rifle round shot in a pistol your 445 Supermag would be fine but no 45-70 Contenders or Encores. I thought Ok. had some stupid game laws. Were you able to get to the Ok. full auto shoot in Wyandotte this year? If you didn't, you need to try to get there next summer. It wasn't as big as Knob Creek but the variety of weapons you could fire was outstanding and the prices beat Knob Creek all to pieces. It is a great shoot and real close to home. Shoot good Dennis

No I didn't see the '03 video. Maybe we can all three hook up next year (and anyone else that is going to be there). I am definitely planning to go and several of my friends want to go also. I will holler at you before the next shoot for sure. Did you do any good this deer season? I didn't get to go (lost my hunting spot after divorce) but I hope to have a new place for next season. If you know of any open spots on leases around here that aren't too overcrowded let me know. Dennis

I was a spectator but did try one. Wife and I was driving around and saw signs about it and went. We will be back next year. I only live 100 miles from Tulsa maybe we could have a contender shoot next year in the spring.

I'm a member at Oil Capital in Coweta, if Red Castle is full up we could try it (max yds is 200 at Oil Capitol, not the six hundred like Red Castle)
