Well, the scans of the 25-35 AI dies package are mysteriously beginning to show up now that a trace has been put in motion.

After being in limbo and missing for a few days, the dies were located in Fort Worth, but then, AFTER the trace request, they were inadvertently sent to northern Kentucky.

Today (Saturday), FedEx said they will ship it ground on Monday and that I could possibly have the dies Wednesday. I was told they can't upgrade the service "from that area" and expedite the shipment in any form or fashion. So I guess they want me to believe no one in Independence, KY can send anything next day or 2nd day???

ANd what I was told last night took the cake: At around 7 p.m., a rep told me "if you could get CH-4D to ship you another set overnight, you could have them in the morning." For starters, CH-4D wouldd not be open that late. And after 7 p.m. is well past any FedEx counter being open or any pick-up being made. ANd lastly, the terminal in my area IS NOT EVEN OPEN on Saturdays.

Do these guys do nothing other than read a script and fill in the blanks?

Guess you can tell I am frustrated -- and I apologize for my venting. But heck, I feel better now...

Greetings! Hey, I feel your pain! I have had the same or worse with UPS and the US MAIL. They ALL screw up from time to time, much to the disbelief and shock of the poor customers when I have had to try and explain such situations.

I now have a favorite post office and favorite UPS terminal where I have experienced the least amount of screw ups, and that is where I ship from. You being on the recieving end makes it especially hard to deal with, as all you can do is wait

After all this, that barrel is going to be expecially sweet to load develope and shoot

Sean-You are right: it will be SWEET once it all comes together. And to commemorate the even, I think I'll order up a few FedEx shipping cartons. Those brightly-colored letters will make wonderful targets for my fireforming loads...

I have tried to keep my fingers from typing a response to this "fed-up" bashing, but it reminds me of two shipments within three weeks a couple of years back.

I tried to post the whole episodes on every web site in hopes that even Fred Smith would eventually see it.

Now when Mid South Shooters Supply asks if I want "fedup" shipping, I always quip, "Heck no, I want to get the shipment without waiting for you to reship in the little square brown truck!"

Bobby, I feel your pain and I always start out my conversation with the poor "fedup" phone rep that gets my call by telling them to give straight to their supervisor, they do not make enough money to hear what I am getting ready to say. I note a chuckle just before they pass me on.

I now REFUSE to let anyone ship something to me via "fedup".

I have had very little experience with FedUp but I've heard the stories.

UPS is a total joke to me. Almost every package I've ever received through them was mangled. I can't imagine how they stay in business. Also they are horribly slow.

My huge success is still ongoing with the USPS. Several hundred packages and except for one from Florida to Alaska taking 5 days for Priority, never even one late one.

Only one USPS package was ever damaged and that one was wrapped poorly.

Obviously... I'm a USPS fan....

Well, FedEx delivered the dies. After having them fall off the radar and then mis-route them AFTER a trace had been initiated was rather unnerving. But at least it's finally over.

Only one person at FedEx sounded compassionate and competent. The others sounded as if they were reading from a script. Unfortunately, I did not get to deal with her until the ordeal was nearly over. For days, others promised to call "as soon as we hear something," but of course they never did call. We finally received a call today to tell us the dies had been delivered, which we already knew as I had them in my possession since yesterday afternoon...

I am with you, USPS has become my preferred shipper. The other alphabet shippers are beginning to earn . . . yes EARN the reputation the old USPS once had with me!!
Shipped something Saturday and the shippee had it in Mondays mail. Gotta love those USPS Prioriuty boxes. Now if the envelopes were tyvek instead of the funky shoebox cardboard it would be perfect!
