How was the show, as compared to the last couple they have held here? It seems that they just keep going down hill. I almost decided not to go but will wait for your response. Last show the only reason I went was to get brass and the brass guy wasn't there.

'weet, sure I know Steve! Been set up at a number of shows with him, had supper with him in Joplin, & been to his house. Good people. But then I haven't met many "bad people" who shoot TCs. Steve no doubt told you he shoots with Don Bower when he goes to Denver for seminars or whatever excuse he finds to go there. I really got a chuckle out of Steve when Bower and I put on the shooting clinic at Claremore, OK in '99. Steve was having so much fun with the long range shooting and was giggling and carrying on so much I thought that any minute he would have to excuse himself and go change his pants! He was having a ball. Steve has been a good student of the Bower regimen for a number of years and has "qualified on the stump," the 726 yard, range a number of times. Ref. the shows, the people that put on the show in downtown Springfield didn't impress me much. The owner of the shows is ok, but his girls are more interested in occupying space than running a show. The R-K Shows at the fairgrounds were most excellent. Ron did a great job with the shows there. Glad to hear he is doing well with them! If you get half a chance to do some of the long range shooting with Steve, you really should do it. Joplin is a "fer piece" from you but not all that far..... I imagine you an' Miss Pat can make the distance. Tell her we said howdy! Likewise next time you talk to Steve. Ya'll take care. Mike

With spring approaching, next time you blaze through Denver on I-70 and can have a day off, give Don Bower a call. Park yer rig down at Pilot in Denver or out east of town at Watkins, and go shoot with Don Bower. His phone: (303)343-9596. Now, if you could just get a load going through Alliance, NE July 7th to 10th for the long range clinic. Ya gotta try yer hand at the long range shooting & you have some good opportunities just a waiting for ya with Steve and Don. Mike
