Have any of you had any experiences with the reincarnation of the Fajen stock company?

I was specifically wanting a comparison between the quality of the OLD (pre-Potterfeld) Fajen and the new Fajen.

Living in the area, and have had a stock done in Fajen's custom shop, I can tell you that the man that I delt with worked for Fajen and after the sale opened his own stock company where he has always lived, Lincoln, Missouri about 10 miles north of Warsaw on hiway 65.http://www.wenig.com/

I didn't see anything for TCs there, Sean, but in the list of custom makers, I did note at least one company Potterfield was trying to buy out in his effort to get rid of the competition and become THE "stockmaker to the world," as he once advertised in a delusional state.

Wenig used to be the plant manager before Potterfield bought out Fajen. About as quickly as Potterfield entered the picture, Wenig was gone.

Wenig does (or at least did) make TC wood and did a good job of it last I dealt with him in the early 90s, but slow, slow, slow. One of the worst cases of the common disease, gunsmithitis, shared by many in the trade. It was that way when he worked for Fajen and as bad or worse when he opened shop in Lincoln.

Pokerplayer, do you remember a gent named Labahn who used to have an auto repair shop across the street from Wenig's? His son Ray is a friend of mine, lives in Utah now.
