finally did its dirty work inspite of Norton anti-virus and the usual maintenance measures.

Won't reboot from disc either, so back to the shop it goes. I'll see if the old back up puter will still work ok, but in the meantime, I may not get email for awhile. Current server does not have a webmail function, and I don't want to use this puter for my mail.... it's Dee's baby.

I got suckered into opening a buggy attachment when I would not have if Graybeard wasn't in the subject line. So, if anyone sends an attachment, henceforth, it gets deleted unless I know it is coming and what it is.

I got the damn thing also. I fowarded it to GB. He tells me it came from spinafish??? I got three in the last week or so. I just dumped and reformated the hard drive and reloaded my operating system. I had Norton also but I had not done the updates. funny three or four guys have got that email that I know of. GB told me it is NOT from him.

I tried reformatting also, but it's a "NO GO." It's been problematic ever since lightning tweaked it last spring anyway. May be time for a new mother board????? Can't swing for a new Macintosh yet, but it's coming.

I find it interesting that indeed, others have been hit with Graybeard used as the bait.
