over size VV 6mmTCU barrel

as most of you know,,orderd a 16.5 inch full bull barrel from virgin vally,,got it two weeks ago,,
been verry disapointed,,
nothing would shoot in it,,nothing,, my twist was supposed too be 1-10 so i started with sierra 75 grainers,,made up loads with four differant powders,,did the same thing with nosler 80 grainers..sierra 100 grainers,,and just fer the heck of it loaded some 107's...
NOTHING WORKED ,,!!! KEYHOLED ALL OVER THE PLACE !!!
now i check the bore,,
i drop a [.243] 6mm sierra bullet by itsselfe down the bore,,falls all the way through !!!
barrel is stamped 6mm-TCU...
NOW TELL ME ??? AINT THE BULLET SUPPOSED TO TOUCH THE RIFILING ??? ON ITS WAY OUT THE BARREL ??? HUMM ??
WONDER WHAT CAILBER I GOTS ??? ALL THIS MONEY IN THIS BARREL,,DIES,BULLETS..ECT,,,THEN FIND OUT ITS NOT A 6MM-TCU...

Now hold on there Buckweet, before you get too upset let them know what happened. I'm confident that they will make it right. I know it's frustrating and a lot of unnecessary hassle, but it can happen. Keep us posted as things like this affect all of us either directly or indirectly.

You may have a 6.5mm blank inadvertantly chambered for 6T/CU....got any 6.5mm bullets?

Simply mike the bore, and you'll have your answer. Then contact VV, and I am certain they'll make it right if it is indeed wrong.

Buckweet,
I am awaiting the barrel. After talking to you today I think that the bore might be .257, but until I get it I will only guess. Jeff thinks that this is the first time we have had a bore be the wrong size. I would have to agree with his as he would know better than anyone.

You are lucky that the error in barrel diameter was oversize and not undersize. You would have been in a world of hurt.
