Hi,

Has anyone ever come across a left handed XP100?

Thanks!

Pete

After shooting a Wichita pistol, I thought all XP's were left handed

I never purchased a XP100 because I'm right handed!

Pokerplayer, how do you like your Witchita pistol? What Chambering is it?

If the only tool you have is a hammer, then all of your problems look like nails.

For a left hander, an XP is just like the Wichita. But, if you think about leverage when opening your XP bolt, putting it on the right side helps since it really helps opening a sticky bolt. Once you get used to an XP as a right hander, it becomes natural and just as fast. Thousands of Silhouette shooters can verify this.

As a right hand shooter, when holding the gun in my right hand, I could open the bolt with my left and load it. I only shot the Wichita that belonged to a friend 7mmIHMSA, a few times. I only have XP's. I used to shoot IHMSA with a 308 XP in the modified Credemore position and it was easier to keep the Wichita aimed down range when reloading

I'm a Lefty and shoot a xp-100r alot. I find that the right port right bolt setup of the XP perfect for me I hold the grip with my left hand which leaves my right hand to operate the bolt. Only bad part with the XP I have is I had to modify the factory stock to fit my hand. The thumb groove that was there for a right handed shooter had to go. I used a file and removed it and then painted the stock. here's a pic of it.
