Does anybody here have a 50 AE pistol barrel? If so I would like some info such as brand, barrel length, what bullets shoot best(weight,cast or jacketed etc)
Do the T/C factory barrels shoot ok? I have been thinking that it would be nice to have one to play with and being as I have never even shot one is the reason for all the questions.

I have a couple of 50 AE barrels though they were designed to fit the Desert Eagle and not the Encore.

Encores barrels shoot just fine. My latest is a 15 inch braked 500 S&W Magnum barrel with a T/C 1.5-4X scope that will do 2.5 inches at 100 yards with a 500 grain Hornady bullet. Currently, the 500 S&W Magnum would be my choice in a .50 caliber Encore barrel but an 50 AE barrel would, admittedly have less recoil.

Most of my T/C factory barrels shoot ok, I only have 16, some of you guys would put me to shame on the amount of barrels you have. I was wondering how the 50 AE T/C barrels shot. The most accurate barrels I own are OTT barrels. The worst offender I had was a T/C Factory 30/06 rifle barrel, like the old saying "you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn even if you were locked inside it" was true with that one. T/C made it better but still not as good as most bolt actions would shoot. I'll probably get a 500 S&W barrel sooner or later but right now the 50 AE has caught my eye. Thanks for the info.

I dont own one but if you want some info on one contact Gary Reeder at www.reedercustomguns.com and he can answer your questions and build you one that will be very accurate if you decide to get one.

I have already looked at his site, and a few others. I was looking for some actual shooting experience(especially with factory barrels) such as bullets weights, powders etc. Thanks.
